One link is enough. Skip the photo on online applications unless the posting asks. Keep the last company inside Experience—not as your identity in the header.
Dates for the gap, not a confession
Two failure modes after a layoff: the last job has no end month, or a paragraph explains why you were let go. Month-level dates are enough. Cover a gap with one factual line and leave room for results.

Caregiving, a move, or recovery: a few words. Do not attack the last employer or write “no fault of my own.” Save “what happened” for the interview.

Screens look for what you shipped, not why you left. Aim for action + object + result. No percentage? Use headcount, a timebox, or whether it launched. Replace “responsible for” with finished / reduced / increased / delivered.

Should my resume say I am unemployed?
No. Put the target job title in the header. Date the last role with a start and end month and write it in the past tense. Screeners match titles, not mood labels.
Do I have to explain an employment gap?
